Two people were arrested after a stolen car was detected heading into South Australia from the western border on Tuesday - the same day border restrictions were implemented.
Police received information that a stolen silver Toyota Corolla had crossed the border into South Australia just after 1pm on Tuesday, March 24 and was headed for the road block on Eyre Highway at Yalata.
Officers intercepted the stolen car just before 6.30pm and arrested the occupants without incident.
A 29-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were both charged with illegal use.
The man was also wanted in Western Australia for other matters and the woman was fined for driving while unlicensed.
It will be alleged they stole the car keys and car from a person known to them in Western Australia.
The pair were refused police bail and will appear in court on Wednesday.
