UPDATE: Man dies in Elliston crash

UPDATE: A man has died after a crash at Elliston on Saturday morning.

Just after 10.30am, police and paramedics were called to Flinders Highway after a car crashed into a tree.

Sadly, the driver of the car, a 92-year-old man from Eyre Peninsula, died at the scene.

Flinders Highway remains closed, with traffic being diverted on to Silo Road, to Colton Back Road, and on to Flinders Highway.

Major Crash Officers are investigating the incident.

Twenty-eight lives have been lost on South Australian roads compared to twenty five at the same time last year.
