Ceduna Area School students spent a day last month on the school oval for an enjoyable sports day.
Students from reception to year 12 were put through their paces in a variety of track and field events from sprints and long distance runs to long jump, high jump, shot put, discus and javelin.
Younger students also took part in novelty events such as an egg and spoon race, and dribbling a ball around cones.
Students were separated into three teams - Davenport, Murat and Sinclair - and they were cheered on by their peers, parents, grandparents and other family members present.
For the first time in more than two decades of hosting sports day at the school there was a tie to determine the winner, with Sinclair and Murat locked on points.
Murat and Sinclair were joint winners on 2382, while Davenport finished on 2184 points.
