Streaky Bay Green adds another win

Streaky Bay Green just got the better of Wudinna Blue in round 16 of the Western Eyre Peninsula Bowls Association season on Saturday.

Wudinna won two matches but it was not enough as Streaky Bay Green won 86-12 to 82-4.

Bill Edwards picked up a big win over Leon Smart and Gus Giles defeated Kevin Norton in a close encounter, which proved enough for league-leading Green despite Alan McGuire downing Gavin Sincock and Philip McKenna getting the better of Steve Baldock.

Second-placed Streaky Bay Gold had an easier time in defeating the Wudinna Scrubbers 107-14 to 72-2.

Cliff Edmunds lost to Ashley Joyce, but wins for Mark Wrigley, Nick Wrigley and Rob Stephens gave Gold the points.

Two big wins helped Ceduna Blue defeat Minnipa 104-14 to 83-2.

Grant Hoffrichter won a close contest with Luke Jarvis, but commanding victories from Brian Hoffrichter and Brenton Miller made the difference, despite Tony Greenshields downing Ross Borlase.

Streaky Bay White had a near clean-sweep in downing Wirrulla.

The match ended 115-15 to 79-1 as Darryl Johnson, Paul Hollitt and John Rumbelow triumphed, while Peter McEvoy and Craig Ferguson drew their match.

Finally, Ceduna Purple leapfrogged Ceduna Gold to move up to sixth with an 86-12 to 84-4 result.

Wins for Denys Richter and Mark Garrick did the trick, despite Trystan Zippel and Richard Wilkinson picking up positive results for Gold.
