A total of 38 players supported a fundraising night of bowls at Streaky Bay late last month.
The Elmhaven and Hospital Fundraiser at night owls bowls took place on Wednesday, January 29, with two games of two-bowl triples played, while a sausage sizzle was provided between games.
Sponsoring the night was West Coast Welding.
Organisers were pleased to see so many locals come out and support the night, plus a couple of visitors from the United Kingdom who were enjoying the hospitality.
There were also visitors from Mildura joining in the fun, as well as staff from Streaky Bay Hospital and Elmhaven supporting the event.
Winning on the night was the trio of Dave Lawton, Darryl Johnson and Dora Murray.
In second place was Geoff Francis, Teina Smith and Chris Noonan, while finishing in third position was the team of Rob Oswald, Graham Kenny and Lisa McEvoy.
Prizes were given out to non-bowlers having touchers, and bowlers putting down a bowl on the wrong bias donated a dollar to the Royal Flying Doctor Service tin.
The amount raised on the night was $1000, which was presented to executive officer and director of nursing at Elmhaven and the Streaky Bay Hospital Chris Boylan by the president of the Streaky Bay Women's Bowling Club Sue Rumbelow.
The night owls bowls season has now come to a close.
