More then 80 children were present as Ngura Yadurirn Children and Family Centre, along with Save the Children, hosted a special Jump N' Jive playgroup on the Ceduna foreshore last Thursday.
Children from birth to five years of age attended with their families and educators, while senior citizens also came along for a visit.
Activities including a challenge course, tennis, soccer and other games, plus arts and craft, and face painting, made for an enjoyable morning.
The session provided many different opportunities for children to build their confidence and learn through movement, sensory exploration and play.
Ngura Yadurirn's occupational therapist Alysha Parsons said the playgroup was a good development opportunity for children.
"Children learn through repetition and having many opportunities to engage in gross motor activities with their special people nearby encouraging them," she said.
The group runs every Thursday of the school term at Ngura Yadurirn from 9.30am.
