This week's flip through the memory book is heading to the late 1980s, with a look at the September 13, 1989 edition of the newspaper.

The excitement was building as communities at Ceduna and Wudinna were getting ready for the respective show days, while about 150 marched down Poynton Street for National Aboriginal Day.

The football and netball seasons may have been completed, but that did not mean the sport had stopped, with the Ceduna Hockey team doing well at a carnival held in Port Lincoln.
