Preparations are being finalised for next Saturday's Wudinna and District AH&F Show at the Wudinna Showgrounds.

The action-packed day will include activities and entertainment for the entire family, including face painting, rides, pets, cookery, shearing competitions, horse jumping, sideshows, classic cars and machinery on display and music.

Show committee president Greg Dubois said there would be something for everybody to enjoy.

"It's a family day and we aim for something for all ages," he said,

"There will be music all day and through to about midnight and catering will be available into the evening.

"There are a few novelties this year like a new Lego competition for the kids, and in addition to the normal shearing which starts at 11am we will have the speed shear in the main area under lights."

Mr Dubois said all the show favourites would also be returning this year.

Gates will open at 7.30am, with an entry cost of $12 for adults, $10 for members and $8 for concession tickets, while children under 16 enter for free.
