Western Districts has all but secured top spot on the Mid West netball A grade table following a convincing 24-goal win against Elliston on Saturday.
The battle between the top two was going to be a fascinating encounter as they came into the penultimate match locked on 18 points.
Districts were the form side ahead of the clash after five successive wins, while the Roosters' results had been more inconsistent.
There was no contest on the day as the Tigers started well and kept going to record a 43-19 success.
It was much closer in the other two matches and those results sealed the fate of the top four.
Wirrulla got the better of Central Eyre by a solitary goal.
There was little to separate the teams throughout the contest as the Bombers came away with a 45-44 victory.
With that result, the fifth-placed Bulldogs are three points outside of the top four with one match remaining.
They were also cut adrift by West Coast's thrilling win against Wudinna United.
The Hawks grabbed a two-goal triumph in another high-scoring encounter that ended 45-43.
The bottom-placed Magpies also had a chance of reaching the top four yet saw that dream shattered in the close loss.
West Coast flexed its muscles ahead of the B grade finals with a win against second-placed Wudinna United.
The Hawks did the business by 14 goals in a 46-32 result.
The loss was also Wudinna's third in succession ahead of the finals.
Wirrulla may not be able to reach fourth spot but did itself proud in downing Central Eyre by four goals.
Shots were flying into the ring at a regular rate as the Bombers came away with a 45-41 win.
Western Districts cruised to a 64-26 victory against Elliston to move above the Bulldogs and into third position.
West Coast made sure of top spot in the C grade by beating Wudinna United 44-31.
The result means the Magpies must win next week to be assured of finishing second after Central Eyre downed Wirrulla 57-35.
The Bulldogs could still reach second, but must win against Western Districts and see Wudinna fall in its match.
Districts defeated Elliston via a forfeit.
In the D grade there were wins for leaders West Coast and third-placed Wirrulla.
The Hawks won in a close match with Wudinna United which ended 54-49, while the Bombers got the better of Central Eyre 35-27.
Wudinna United recorded a commanding 52-27 Junior A win against West Coast to continue its perfect season.
There were big wins for the top two Central Eyre and West Coast in the Junior B, defeating Wirrulla by 31 goals and Wudinna United by 43 goals respectively.
The other match went the way of Elliston 35-20 against Western Districts.
