Streaky Bay man to face court after being stopped for drink driving

A Streaky Bay man will face court after he was stopped for drink driving on Friday night.

Just before 8.30pm, police were conducting a driver testing station on Flinders Highway at Streaky Bay when they stopped a vehicle.

The driver, a 37-year-old local, was breath tested and allegedly returned a positive blood alcohol reading of 0.143, nearly three times over the legal limit of 0.05.

The man was reported for drink driving and was issued with a six-month instant loss of licence.

He will be summoned to appear in the Ceduna Magistrates Court at a date to be set.
