Elliston council calls for input on entrance statements

The Elliston District Council is calling for further community input on the town's two entrance designs through a public questionnaire.

The most popular ideas are being considered following workshops in April seeking community contributions for the designs of the signs that will be placed at each end of Elliston.

One structure will represent the land-based activity of the town with the wool and wheat production, the scenery, art/creativity/music/murals/statues, relaxed lifestyle or the timelessness/history being considered.

The other will represent the ocean-based activity in Elliston, with ideas including surfing, fishing, boating or the aquatic wildlife.

The survey can be downloaded from the council's website and returned to the council's office or emailed to dce@elliston.sa.gov.au before July 31.
