Streaky Bay won two Eyre Peninsula tourism awards, Streaky Bay District Council works supervisor Peter Irvine winning 'most significant individual effort' and Streaky Bay Tourist Promotions Incorporated won 'most significant promotional effort'.
In sport, Thevenard continued its unbeaten run in Far West football by defeating Blues by 55 points, while in Mid West football Central Eyre defeated Streaky Bay by 39 points.
