We had welcome rains last week, with totals varying across our region and I hope most people got their rainwater tanks replenished, along with a good start to the seeding season.
It's great to smell the damp worked paddocks as the tractors are busy, with no dust - how refreshing the rain has been, and we already have a tinge of green across the land.
Let's hope this is the start of a nice wet winter for all.

This week the region's mayors were invited to meet with Infrastructure SA board members at Whyalla to get an understanding of Eyre Peninsula perspectives.
Infrastructure SA is leading the development of the state's first 20-year State Infrastructure Strategy and aims to reflect a whole of state perspective.
It was a privilege to be part the Adelaide Mother's Day Classic Walk on Sunday, raising money for breast cancer research and to recognise those undergoing treatment or who have sadly passed.
A treat while away for the weekend was to see Tom DuBois in a lead role of the musical production of Miss Saigon.
Tom, one of Bett DuBois's grandsons and former Wudinna resident, gave a great performance along with the cast in the epic and tragic story of a young couple in love during the Vietnam War.
Do not forget to vote this Saturday - if you vote at Wudinna support our local Lions Club and have a sausage, with the barbecue going from 9am.
Finally, have readers had their flu vaccination? The message I get from the promotion of flu vaccination is not only is it for our own protection, but to assist stopping the spread among our communities.
It is so important in helping protect the very young, our seniors and our more vulnerable friends and family who may be at higher risk with a lower immunity through illness or undergoing medical treatments.
You can get advice and vaccinations through your local health centres.
