Wudinna United is off the mark for 2019 after picking up a 14-point victory over Western Districts in Mid West football on Saturday.
A four-goal third quarter proved pivotal for the Magpies to grab a first win of the season 11-7 (73) to 8-11 (59).
The teams went goal-for-goal in two tight opening quarters, with Wudinna leading at the end of both by a single point.
That changed in the third term as the Magpies raced clear with four goals to District's four behinds which extended the lead to 21 points.
Despite the Tigers having the better of the fourth quarter with four goals to three, it was not enough to deny Wudinna the win.
Thomas Dupree and Ricky Seal kicked two apiece for the Magpies, a tally matched by Charlie Williams and Stephen Mudge.
Central Eyre also picked up a first win of the new season as it downed reigning premiers Elliston by 58 points.
The Bulldogs dominated throughout to record a 12-19 (91) to 5-3 (33) triumph.
Leading the charge was Tasman Fitzgerald's five goals and three from Clint Winter, while Glen Tonkin kicked three for Elliston.
It took until the second quarter for Central Eyre to make their move, after the teams went into the first break separated by only six points.
The Bulldogs extended their lead with two goals to one, but with an additional seven behinds failed to fully capitalise on their dominance.
Elliston trailed by 19 points at half-time, yet it came together for the Bulldogs in the third term when they put away five goals to one, with a further two goals and six behinds in the final term the icing on the cake.
West Coast is the only team to maintain a perfect record after two rounds following a 19-14 (128) to 6-6 (42) win over Wirrulla.
The Hawks were rampant from the opening siren as they came away with the 86-point victory.
Wirrulla managed just one point to West Coast's six goals to quarter-time and while the Bombers reduced the deficit in the second term the margin was still 25 points at the main break.
The Hawks showed their attacking prowess in the third quarter with a devastating display of eight goals to one that ended the match as a contest.
The fourth term saw West Coast boot another four goals to cruise to the two points.
Cameron Montgomerie added to his five goals in the opening round with a six-goal haul, while Simon Webb bagged four for the Bombers.
A superb second half comeback saw Wudinna United down Western Districts by four points.
The Magpies got better as the match wore on to secure a 6-8 (44) to 6-4 (40) victory.
Western Districts kicked the only three goals of the opening term as Wudinna went scoreless, while the Tigers were in command by half-time with three goals to one.
The Tigers would not kick another goal as their half-time lead of 28 points was reduced to eight by the final change, before Wudinna overturned the result.
The Magpies kicked five goals to two behinds after half-time.
Nathan Finey led Wudinna with two goals and Scott Williams did the same for the Tigers.
A big second half helped West Coast to a 15-6 (96) to 3-5 (23) win against Wirrulla.
There was only 11 points in it at the first break, however the Bombers failed to kick a goal in the next two terms as West Coast booted six majors.
That gave them a 48-point lead and then five goals in the final term finished the job to win by 73 points.
Cody Colbung starred with seven goals.
In the other match, Central Eyre defeated Elliston via forfeit.
