The Streaky Bay Sharks reached the final in the world's richest lawn bowls tournament.

Damon and Dion Edmunds of Streaky Bay Marine Products sponsored a team into the inaugural Ultimate Bowls Challenge held last week at the Warrilla Bowls Club in New South Wales.

The team, representing the Streaky Bay Sharks, consisted of marquee Australian representative Ben Twist, Scottish representative John Fleming and South Australian representative Josh Studham.

Twenty-four team entered the three-bowl pairs event in two sections over two days.

The first day saw the Sharks finish top of section A after seven consecutive wins.

At the end of the second day after dropping only one game the Sharks played off in the $150,000 final, going down to the Dandenong Club, who were represented by Irish international Gary Kelly, Australian representative Barrie Lester and former Australian representative Wayne Turley.
