Ceduna golfers were on the course on Sunday for the qualifying round of the handicap match play championship.
Perfect conditions for golf drew a field of 16 players competing for eight eligible positions to take part in the championship.
Qualifiers will play quarter-finals on May 5, followed by the semi-finals on May 12 and the grand final on June 2.
Qualifiers will go into a general numerical draw and any qualifier not able to play in the quarter-final should notify the match committee as soon as possible.
The match committee could then include other players as qualifiers.
A stableford competition was used to determine the top eight.
Qualifiers on the day were Kieron Warmington and Andrew Xanthopoulos with scores of 40, Mick Stewart on 39, Clinton Wearne on 38, Gavin Haynes with 36, Lance McWaters on 35, Dion Hissey on 34 and Peter Thompson with 32.
Other results on the day saw Andy Partington and Jamie Davies finish on 32, Barrie Thompson on 31, Ben Gascoyne and Simon Hoffrichter with 27, Mal Fricker with 25, Dean Uzzell on 24 and Jimmy Nicholls on 22.
Winner of the stableford competition was Warmington on a countback from Xanthopoulos after both finished on 40.
Nearest to the pin on the fourth hole was Hissey, while achieving the feat on the 11th hole after two shots was Gascoyne.
Warmington had the longest drive on the 18th.
This Sunday will see an ambrose competition take place.
All are welcome to attend and join in.
