The ladies at Streaky Bay dusted off their golf clubs last week for a new season on the fairways.
The day proved to be an excellent way to get the 2019 season underway and there was a thrilling three-way tie for the win.
The ladies' season kicked-off on Wednesday, April 3 and the day was also a chance to recognise a life membership award for Kerry Johnson.
She has been a very valuable member to the club for more than two decades, and since first getting involved in 1993 has held many positions at the club.
Following the presentation it was time for the eager players to hit the course.
New life member Johnson had the honour of hitting the first ball of the season.
Fifteen ladies played a 12-hole ambrose competition on the opening day.
The winners, with a very impressive score of 17.5, were Wendy Pearson, Carol Horseman and new member Renae Walker.
The ladies take to the course every Wednesday, with registrations open at 10.30am for an 11am start.
All are welcome to come along and join in.
