The Denial Bay Progress Association has donated $2000 to the Ceduna Hospital and Village Auxiliary to assist with the upgrading of the remaining four resident rooms in the north wing of the senior citizens village.

The money was raised through bingo sessions which were conducted by Janet Thiselton at the Ceduna Sports Club.

Ms Thiselton has been hosting weekly sessions on Thursdays for more than 20 years and attracts an average attendance of 18.

The auxiliary's Janet Jacobsen thanked all those who helped raise the money.

Other money raised by Ms Thiselton is used to improve and maintain facilities at the Denial Bay foreshore, including the playground equipment, maintaining the school bus shelter and tree planting.

The auxiliary has been refurbishing village rooms in recent years, with six rooms now upgraded.
