The Ceduna District Council is hosting an official opening for the new swimming enclosure at Ceduna next week.

The swimming enclosure was finally opened last October ahead of the busy summer season, however the official opening will be an opportunity to acknowledge the sponsors and committee that made the project a reality.

It will take place at the Ceduna jetty on Friday, March 15 at 11am.

There will be a free sausage sizzle to be cooked by year 10 students from Ceduna Area School, who will also be selling cakes and drinks.

Community members are invited to attend, but are asked to call the council office on 8625 3407 if planning on attending.

A project nearly two decades in the making, creation of the enclosure met with a number of delays over the years, but was in use throughout summer.
