Slovenia will be the focus at Streaky Bay this Friday as St Canute's Catholic Church hosts a service for World Day of Prayer.
More than 1000 communities across Australia will celebrate the European country, and at Streaky there will be local singers assisting the service, guest speakers, drama, plus Slovenian food and music to enjoy.
The World Day of Prayer celebration is shared between churches at Streaky Bay this year and Val Vowles of St Canute's said it was a great chance to learn about another country.
"We have a lot of information on the country and you do get to learn a great deal," she said.
"Each year the country is rotated and Slovenia will be the focus for 2019 - it is a great night to celebrate."
The non-denominational service will commence at 7.30pm and all are welcome to attend.
