An investigation into a fire that destroyed three units and three vehicles at a roadhouse in Sheringa early Saturday morning is ongoing.

The Country Fire Service was called out just after 1.30am to the fire at the roadhouse on Flinders Highway.

Appliances from Elliston, Sheringa, Mount Wedge, Cummins and Mount Hope responded with 25 firefighters on the scene, along with a bulk water carrier and a pumper.

Three units and three vehicles were destroyed in the fire.

The CFS has credited the quick response of firefighters in saving most of the roadhouse, which included preventing the fire from reaching several gas cylinders.

Police and SA Ambulace also attended the scene however there were no injuries.

Fire cause investigators were on site later in the day and the circumstances of the fire is still being investigated.
