The Wudinna Senior Citizens group returned for 2019 last week with a ‘games day’.
Those in attendance enjoyed catching up over lunch for the first meeting of the year, and various board and card games were played.
Everybody enjoyed playing the games on offer, while it was great to see Ted Kwaterski fit and well after an accident last year.
A questionnaire was handed out asking members what they would like to do at meetings this year and any items of interest.
The club is ready for another big year.
A new program for 2019 was distributed on Australia Day and there will be double the amount of activities on offer.
These activities include regular meeting days, game days, bus excursions, crafts, entertainment and guest speakers.
Programs are available from the Wudinna and Districts Telecentre, or you can call president Janet Foster on 8680 2153 or secretary Sandy Alexander on 0437 586 725 for more information.
Membership for the Wudinna Senior Citizens is for people aged 55 and over, and costs only $20 per year.
In this month’s edition of the Granite, Graham Waters wrote a story about a person connected with the region, and given the opportunity at future meetings other members may be able to share their history of the district, their family members, or details of their genealogical research.
The next senior citizens meeting is Friday, February 22 at 1pm.
The guest speaker will be Denise Field from Bank SA, so bring your banking questions.
Afternoon tea and live entertainment will follow.
