Nine News weather presenter Chelsea Carey said the Nine News Road Trip, ‘We Love SA’, was a great opportunity to promote Eyre Peninsula.
She presented the weather from Ceduna on Monday as part of the road trip, before further reports from Coffin Bay, Port Lincoln, Whyalla and Port Augusta this week.
The Eyre Peninsula tour also includes stops in Kimba, Elliston and Tumby Bay, with a chance to gauge the best the region has to offer.
Arriving in Ceduna on Sunday, the team enjoyed a charter boat tour with Ceduna mayor Perry Will on Monday, catching King George Whiting and viewing sea lions, before heading over to Arts Ceduna to view the pieces being created.
Ms Carey said it was great to show off the state.
She said she had not been further than Kimba in the past, but really enjoyed her stay in Ceduna.
“I absolutely love Ceduna, I had heard how beautiful it is, but had never been here before – the bay is stunning and we had a fantastic sunset on Sunday,” she said.
“Kimba was gorgeous as well and it is nice to see the region and speak to the friendly locals, who are all proud of their town.
“We are proud to be South Australian and this is a great chance to show off Eyre Peninsula – we are lucky in SA to have incredible spots in our backyard.”
She said she would highly recommend that others visit Eyre Peninsula.
“I’ll be telling them the have to go and check it out, and enjoy the big open spaces, the great seafood, wildlife and the community feel,” Ms Carey said.
“Some of the best places in the world are right here.”
