Christmas is in the air and towns are celebrating this wonderful time of year, including at Denial Bay. Community members came together at the Denial Bay foreshore last Sunday to welcome Ken ‘Father Christmas’ Maynard and enjoy a Christmas party. Father Christmas met with an enthusiastic group of children, who were eager to meet the man with the white beard. He delighted the town’s children by handing out presents. The children also took part in fun activities such as an egg and spoon race and a tug-of-war event, while they also enjoyed the playground equipment which has recently been installed at the foreshore. Others enjoyed a chance to catch-up ahead of the busy Christmas season, while Rodney Broad came away a winner as he took home the Christmas raffle prize.
