Anybody with an idea for a community celebration or a barbecue – but may need a funding boost to make it happen – is invited to attend free Eyre Peninsula information sessions.
Based across the state, the sessions on the ‘Tackling Tough Times Together’ grant program will help communities learn about how they can access grants of up to $150,000 to support one another through the ongoing effects of drought.
Sessions will be held on Wednesday, December 12 at the Gawler Ranges Visitor Information Centre in Wudinna from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, then from 6pm to 7.30pm at the Ceduna Sailing Club.
They are aimed at any community that may be feeling the effects of drought, isolation, unaffordability for attending events and or needs a break from feeding animals.
They are also aimed at organisations which may be suffering from volunteer burn out, old resources such as computers and or limited knowledge and skills.
