Looking a fright for Halloween | PHOTOS

It is the classic American tradition in which young and old get dressed as their favourite ghoul or anything else they can think of to walk around the neighbourhood to trick or treat, or perhaps to enjoy a party.

Each year, Halloween is becoming more popular in Australia, with the lure of a dress-up and a sweet tooth too hard to resist.

West Coast communities got into the Halloween spirit last week, with a range of witches, zombies, vampires and devils joining the not-so-scary outfits at Ceduna and Minnpa for the party.

Hot conditions and thunderstorms did not deter the faithful who had put plenty of time and effort into creating their costumes and they enjoyed a great night of trick-or-treating in their local community.
