The Streaky Bay District Council is inviting the community to come along to the opening of the Doc Woods Reserve renewal at Haslam next week.

The Haslam foreshore will host a barbecue lunch on Wednesday, October 10 from 12pm for the community to celebrate the upgrades.

A total of $41,650 for the redevelopment of Doc Woods Reserve was received as part of a grant from the state government’s Open Spaces and Places for People program.

The work included the renewal and delineation of pathways and replanting of the reserve with native plants, replacing the picnic table and small shade shelter, installing a footbridge and playground, the installation of a fence around the recreation area, and a welcome sign.

All are welcome to attend the lunch.
