A driver was arrested after allegedly driving erratically and speeding at Ceduna overnight.
Police received multiple calls from the public just after 7pm on Wednesday, September 5 with reports of a vehicle driving erratically and speeding on Eyre Highway.
Police located a vehicle about 7.30pm, but it failed to stop and was seen to drive off at speed on Poynton Street.
The alleged driver was seen to go inside a Ceduna property where police attended and arrested the man.
The driver also submitted to a drug test and returned a positive result for methamphetamine, with the sample sent to Forensic Science SA for further analysis.
A 31-year-old man from Thevenard was charged with speeding and driving in a dangerous manner, driving under the influence and resisting arrest.
His car was impounded and he was bailed to appear at the Ceduna Magistrates Court at a later date.
