Jake Warmington and Meesha Dunn have capped a superb year by being named Western United’s best and fairest players at the club’s presentation night.
Warmington was the obvious choice after winning the Mail Medal last month and then helping the Tigers to the A grade football premiership with a best on ground performance.
He was also named the best under 21 player.
Dunn led the way for the A grade netball team which fell unexpectedly at the preliminary final stage following a fine campaign.
Western United were all-conquering in football as they not only ended their A grade premiership drought but also triumphed in the B grade and under 14 division, only falling in the under 17 grand final.
Westies’ B grade netball team celebrated winning the title and both the C grade and D2 team reached the grand final, while the Junior A and Junior B teams also brought home championships.
