Thevenard secured yet another Far West netball win on Saturday as they downed Western United by 29 goals.

The 49-20 win saw the Magpies triumph for the 11th successive match to open the gap to Westies at the top of the table to 10 points.

Marni Trowbridge starred for the Magpies, while Hailee Skinner was the best of the bunch for Western United.

The other match saw Ceduna return to the winners list with a 47-38 victory over Koonibba.

Thevenard and Western United played out a dramatic 52-52 B grade draw.

The battle between the top two sides for the final time in the minor round saw both teams determined to win.

Great defensive pressure from both sides made for an incredibly hard-fought game in which the lead changed throughout, only to end all square at the final whistle.

Thevenard’s Dakota Nicholls and Abbie Thomas of Western United led the way, with this great level of netball sure to be seen in the finals.

Ceduna defeated Koonibba via forfeit.

Thevenard edged past Western United in the C grade with a 40-37 result.

It was a tough game as always between the teams, with the Tigers leading by three at quarter-time.

Alkira Saunders and Ai-Li Kargas shot well under pressure, and intensity from Thevenard down the court led to a great final quarter with the Magpies just getting home.

Rikki Stott and Saunders were the best on court.

The all-Ceduna match went the way of Ceduna 1, who came away with a 49-37 win against Ceduna 2 for a first win of the season.

Thevenard defeated Western United 2 42-33 in the D grade.

Madi Hillas and Asha Hoffrichter were the best performing players in a match that was well contested.

The Magpies grew after a slow start and finished the first quarter ahead by four.

The next two quarters were even, but Thevenard pulled away in the final term to secure the points.

Ceduna 2 defeated Ceduna 1 in a close match which finished 37-34.

Western United and Koonibba won in the Junior A, while Westies and Ceduna celebrated Junior B wins.

The Tigers and Koonibba won Junior C matches.
