Eyre Peninsula man caught drink driving in Penong

A man will face court at a later date after he was reported by police for drink driving and driving while unlicensed following a traffic stop in Penong on May 11.

Just after 8.30pm police stopped a car on the Eyre Highway in Penong and submitted the driver to a breath test.

The driver, a 30-year-old Eyre Peninsula man, allegedly returned a positive blood alcohol reading of 0.108.

Police carried out further checks on the driver which revealed that he was also driving unlicensed.

The man was reported for drink driving and driving unlicensed.

He was issued a six month loss of licence and his car impounded for 28 days.

The man will be summoned to appear in Ceduna Magistrates Court at a later date.
