Matthew Wilson proved his dominance as he won the Far West Gun Club’s 50T Continental Club Championship event for the third year in succession.
The event was hosted on Sunday, April 8, and after the Relay for Life and with only a few hours of sleep, a couple of tired and weary competitors braved the 38 degree heat and a strong north-west wind to compete in the 50T Continental Club Championship.
Wilson reigned supreme in the event as he came home with a near-perfect score of 49/50.
He finished on the top step of the podium for the third year in a row, which outlined how good he has been in this event.
Jack McInnis and Roger Freeman were locked in second place with a score of 46/50.
The second event of the day was the 50T Skeet Trophy Match, which was won by Tony Cox on handicap.
Cox triumphed with a score of 37/50.
Congratulations also to all the competitors who recently took part at the national and world championships.
The Far West Gun Club will host its next shoot on Friday, April 27, with the club open from 6:30pm.
