Firstly I would like to thank everyone for their efforts and attendance at the recent Streaky Bay District Council forums.

There was an overall positive response with the new format.

Most people seemed more comfortable in asking questions, raising concerns and having these concerns and questions answered by the senior staff and elected members who attended.

In particular, the meeting at Perlubie under the shelter on the beach was very pleasant indeed.

Medical clinic update

The Streaky Bay Medical Clinic Incorporated Association had another meeting on March 21 with about 25 people in attendance.

There was a report presented and information provided around the requirements of an incorporated association and its first steps.

Some basic modelling of rules and a determination of a committee was discussed and I am pleased with the community commitment and willingness to see this project through.

The positive support I have seen out and about through out the region is also great to see.
