Busy time for Wudinna bowlers

Wudinna’s women bowlers are in the final stages of what has been a busy and enjoyable season.

They have competed in club events and in pennant matches in the Eastern Eyre division, which has also included clubs from Port Neill, Cowell, Cleve and Kimba.

The Wudinna club is also due to host the forthcoming divisional events of the freeman pairs and the masters singles.

The club events have concluded and the winners and runners-up of the season have been duly congratulated.

In the pennant competition within the Eastern Eyre division, five clubs were involved playing in a four-team competition, with the Wudinna squad have qualified for, having finished in third position.

In the club championship, Sue Fisher was the winner ahead of Kerry Winter.

The handicap singles was won by Veronica Matthews, with Bett DuBois the runner-up, while the championship pairs was taken out by Marie Mullan and Veronica Matthews, with Kerry Winter and Bev Berg in second position.

The freeman pairs was won by Heather Michael and Bett DuBois, who finished ahead of Marie Mullan and Bev Berg.
