Jack McInnis was left celebrating as he went back-to-back to win the Far West Gun Club’s 2017 50T Point Score Club Championship last weekend.
With a fresh west-south breeze the clay was keeping the shooters on their toes in the competition in which a hit with the first barrel is worth three points, a hit with the second being worth two points and a miss with both barrels worth no points.
That opened it up to anybody in the field, however McInnis proved too good yet again with a winning score of 146/150, with four second barrels.
Matthew Wilson came in second, missing by only three points – one full target – as he finished on 143/150.
The second event of the day was the 25 Pair Double Rise.
Howard Sleep emerged victorious from the event with a score of 36/50, ahead of Wilson on 34/40 and McInnis on 33/50.
The Club’s next practice and ‘come and try’ will take place on Friday, October 27, starting at 7pm.
