Final touches being made for Oysterfest

The last few touches are being made for the 2017 Oysterfest event with people being sought to assist or display their talents.

Organisers are looking for local singers or musicians to appear on stage as part of Amber Joy Poulton’s performance for Oysterfest Saturday.

Oysterfest organiser Annette Plane said people wanting to take part in ‘Pearl in the Shell’ should send a short video or link to a video of themselves performing to or through the Oysterfest Facebook page.

Entries close at 5pm September 13, winners will be notified by September 15 and will need to be ready to perform between 7pm and 9pm at the outdoor stage on September 30.

Ms Plane said volunteers were also being sought to perform surveys, sell merchandise and to answer general and tourism related enquiries.

She said anyone who could spare some time during Oysterfest, even if it was an hour or two, could contact the Ceduna Council office on 8625 3407.

Tickets are now available online at for the Oysterfest Opening Event, which will be held at the new West Coast Eats food and wine precinct.
