Streaky Bay’s lady golfers recently participated in an Irish Stableford event, won by Sandie Skinner, Terri Cabot and Wendy Brougham.

With A grade player Jan Kenny away participating in the S.A Golf Country Week, the remaining players had the week off from competitive action and Lorraine Lewis sponsored this fun event.

Teams of three play a stableford round, with the score made up of the each player’s stableford score on every hole with all stableford points added together on a par 5, the best two on a par 4 and the best score added to the team tally on a par 3.

Finishing with the highest tally on 79 points were Skinner, Cabot and Brougham.

The 9 hole stableford competition was won by Jan Patterson with 20 points, while Patsy Jenkins, who got a birdie, and Skinner broke their handicaps on the day.
