Ceduna’s Uniting Church recently hosted an anniversary celebration concert.

There were multiple reasons for the 70 people who braved the 40 degree scorching weather to celebrate, with the concert in honour of the 40th anniversary of the joining together of the Methodist, Presbyterian and Congregational churches into the one branch.

The day also honoured the 107th anniversary of the opening of the church building back in 1910.

A great concert with a wonderful variety of musical pieces was enjoyed by all and the church thanked everybody who helped make the day a success.

There was also a display of old articles and photos to view.

The day was a trip down memory lane as years ago many pleasant Sunday afternoon concerts were organised to raise funds to build the new church.

There was also an opportunity to present a farewell gift to Roxanne and Max Lowe who are leaving Ceduna for New South Wales to be closer to family.

Their musical talents will be truly missed.

Afternoon tea was enjoyed by all, including a celebration sponge cake.
