Sampson's six takes Waddikee/Warramboo into the Le Hunte grand final

Waddikee/Warramboo will contest the Le Hunte Cricket Association grand final against Kyancutta this Saturday following a five-wicket triumph against Wudinna.

Asher Sampson was the star with six wickets to help his team to the decider.

Having fallen against Kyancutta in the semi-final last week, the WaddiBoos sent Wudinna to open the batting.

The visitors made a decent start before Scott Allen was dismissed for 13, the first of Sampson’s victims.

Ryan Lymn was caught for seven and the wheels fell off when Harrison Petty’s wicket made it 3/60.

Wudinna collapsed to lose 7/14, including top scorer Tyson Jackson for 26.

Sampson was superb as he ripped through the Wudinna line-up to take 6/13 from seven overs.

The WaddiBoos were shaky in response, slumping to 5/46 as Petty claimed three wickets.

Yet they steadied as Tyler Chapman, 10 runs, and Shaun Murphy, 22, got them across the line.
