The excitement is building for the 2017 edition of the Streaky Bay Cup, to be hosted on Saturday, March 25 at the Streaky Bay Race Course.
For many it is the main event on the Streaky calendar, offering a day to live it big, go crazy and wear the most daring piece in your wardrobe. To others it is a chance to enjoy a fun day.
The cup carnival festivities kick-off on Friday, March 24 at the Streaky Bay Hotel from 5.30pm and will include guest speaker Joe Janiak, the infamous trainer of Takeover Target.
The Cup Calcutta will start at 8.30pm upstairs in the dining room.
There will be a shuttle bus service on race day running to and from the track from the hotel every half hour starting from 11am, with the first race at 12.30pm.
Racegoers will experience a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with everything they need to have a great day at the races and punters will have access to TAB, on-course bookmakers and the punters club.
For the fashion conscious this year’s Streaky Surf n Style and Elders Real Estate Fashions at the Races competition will be a real draw card including prizes for the best dressed men and women.
There will be plenty of food stalls on offer and an on-course bar that operates on a drink ticket system. Tickets can be purchased at the track where there will be eftpos facilities available.
There will also be a children’s entertainment marquee, with activities to enjoy throughout the day including face painting and the jumping castle will be there again this year.
For those who enjoy a marquee book a seat in the Trackside Marquee, in the prime position at the winning post.
Tickets to the marquee are $130 per person and any size group can be accommodated.
Entry is for 18 years or over, with no children permitted.
The package includes cocktail food and drinks, entry to the track, race book, entry to the marquee, shuttle bus to and from the track. Contact Sue Montgomerie on 0427 266 934 or email email@example.com
Cup day will also host the final meet for the Thomas Foods International Bill Holland Series.
The fun continues after the races, with dinner at the Streaky Bay Hotel from 6pm and live entertainment from 7pm.
Return to the hotel on Sunday for a recovery session, with a performance by Chris Matthew to wrap up an incredible weekend.
