Prince Charles and Camilla arrived in Adelaide today fresh from the excitement of the Melbourne Cup.
It was a flying visit lasting no longer than a few hours but South Australia's premium food and wine was showcased during their stay.
The itinerary for the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall included:
1.30pm: Kilkenny Primary School to garden and cook with children participating in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen program;
2.45pm: Penfolds Winery for an exhibition of SA food and wine;
3.40pm: Adelaide Rowing Club boathouse to meet and greet the public;
3.55pm: Adelaide Convention Centre for a showcase of economic activity;
5pm: Government House reception to meet volunteers and community groups before flying to Melbourne.
The Royal couple visited Australia on the second leg of a Diamond Jubilee Tour to honour the Queen, taking in Papua New Guinea, Australia and New Zealand.
