Wet weather did not deter the crowd of more than 300 that attended Marilyn’s Country Music Muster in Smoky Bay on Saturday night.

The audience reacted positively to this year’s line up which included artists Tania Kernaghan, Paul Costa and Johnny Mack.

There was also plenty of praise for local group Anchord who “went country” for the night

Event organiser Marilyn Sullivan said the line-up was sensational on the night.

“It was the best show we’ve had as far as artists go,” she said.

The local food vendors were busy throughout the night serving dishes including salt and pepper squid, fish and chips and steak sandwiches.

Ms Sullivan said she was hopeful enough money was raised to finish the Smoky Bay safe walking trail.

Next year will be a big event as it will be the 10th Country Music Muster but Ms Sullivan said it would be tough to top this year’s event.
