Pam Johns and Mandy Nicholls successfully defended their Freeman Pairs title to make it two in a row last Wednesday.

Pam’s accurate draw bowls continuously put the opposition under pressure, allowing Mandy to add to the score with her bowls. Mandy also plays the conversion bowl well when needed making the pair a formidable team.

They won their four games 10-7, 14-7, 9-3, 14-3.

Five shots behind were runners-up Raelene Knowles and Jeanette Bubner also with four wins: 9-8, 14-6, 12-6, 14-7. Carol Thomas and Yvonne Borlase also had four wins.

Pam and Mandy will contest the Freeman Pairs final against other Region five teams in January – good luck.
