The tournament for golfers on handicaps 0-18 is one of the most prestigious golfing events in the state.

Major sponsors of the tournament are Penny and Tony from the Streaky Bay Hotel Motel.

Streaky Bay Golf Club is hosting the event commencing with a “meet and greet” get-together on Monday, July 20 at 4pm at which life member Rae Brewster has been invited to open the tournament.

Play will commence on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

A lot of work has been done on the course plus landscaping at the clubhouse and is a credit to all members of the club in preparing for this event

Women’s Golf of SA representative Sue Headley will be attending along with approximately 60 golfers from various areas of the state competing.

This is a great event for the club and Streaky Bay town and is a credit to the Eyre Peninsula Association president Kerry Johnson and secretary Gay Fiebig in securing the event as well as the Streaky Bay host club president Sue Montgomerie and her band of enthusiastic helpers.
