Third time lucky for Hawks

The West Coast Hawks reversed their luck from the past two grand finals to win the Mid West Football?League premiership on Saturday.

The Hawks defeated Elliston in an emphatic 99-point win over the only team that beat them during the year.

They never looked stoppable, leading by three goals at quarter time and 10 goals at half time.

Chris Strange was named best on ground for the final, while Hayden Parker from Wirrulla won most valuable player for the season.

Elliston was more fortunate in the B grade and Colts, beating Wirrulla by a large margin in both contests.

Despite the Hawks’ win in A grade, it was Wudinna United that won the trophy for most overall points in netball and football combined, after winning all four senior netball grades.
