Tugboat grounded in squally weather

Windy conditions on Tuesday caused a tugboat to come off its moorings at Thevenard.

The Warren was able to use its motors to be removed from the sand on below the sea north of the wharf.

The highest wind speed recorded during the day was 74km/hr at about 6.45am, while waves were as high as 8-10m off Kangaroo Island, the nearest measurement point.

Only 1.2mm of rain

was recorded in Ceduna

on Tuesday.
