Seal of approval

25 Feb, 2010 01:40 PM
Early one Saturday morning the lazy boy lounge of Loralee and Leon Wright, Slidys Beach, received the ‘seal of approval’ from this unusual visitor. The couple awoke to their dogs barking and what sounded like one of their pets dragging themselves onto the front porch. Loralee ventured out of the front door to find this seal, who had decided to make himself comfortable in what must have seemed a pretty good spot. When the seal was approached he seemed a bit agitated so Loralee sought the advice of National Parks & Wildlife. The seal spent most of the day very relaxed on the lounge - National Parks representatives arrived later in the day and released him in the waters fronting the Wright’s holiday accomodation at Slidys Beach.
