Pedestrian killed at Port Kenny

Police have charged a 37-year-old man from Minnipa with the death of a pedestrian near Port Kenny on Saturday morning.

Police report that at about 5am on Saturday, a 58-year-old man from Baird Bay was killed in a vehicle collision on the Flinders Highway, approximately 5km north of Port Kenny.

The driver from Minnipa was arrested and charged with aggravated cause death by dangerous driving and driving with a prescribed concentration of alcohol, at almost three times the legal limit. He was bailed to appear in Ceduna Magistrates Court at a later date.
